Zhangye National Geopark, located in Gansu Province in northwest China, is arranged on the second day of our trip.
Danxia landforms, a masterpiece of nature, covers hundreds of square kilometers. The colorful mountain ridges are just like an overturned palette from heaven. Bands of fiery red, creamy orange, rich green and bright yellow streak across the mountain, forming what is known as the most beautiful rainbow mountain. With its interlaced lines and brilliant pictures, it forms a colorful fairy tale world.
The park features a series of boardwalks that allow us to stroll through the colorful sandstone landscape. This pile of colors was a feast for my eyes. In the sunlight, it looked like a layer of red veil, which amazed me a lot.
At that moment, as I walked through it, enjoying the dream-like scenery, a kind of respect arose from my heart.

A Feast for the Eyes—Danxia Landform
Is it red waves or jumping flames? Neither.
It is Zhangye Danxia located in the middle of Hexi Corridor of Gansu Province. When I came to Zhangye Danxia for the first time, I felt like I stepped into a magical world.
Words abandoned me and I just stared at the boundless burning red. Surrounded by colorful hills extending out of my sight, Danxia seemed to rise and fall like waves. The setting sun stained the sky a romantic pink color. With beams of amber light of the setting sun tinged the rocks with a golden color, Danxia was lit up and became more fascinating. Everything was so unreal. But it was so vivid and spectacular as well. My classmates and I enjoyed the landscape with ease of mind. Our laughters and amazement filled Danxia. At that time I realized that never can a picture in your geography book show the charm of Zhangye Danxia,or other places. It is nature the greatest painter who creates countless scenery. And you should see especially in person.
Due to our school’s well organization I am so blessed with such a meaningful and significant experience with my classmates in my senior high school life, which will surely leave a deep impression on me. What a magnificent feast for eyes it is!

Zhangye Danxia, located in the middle section of the Hexi Corridor in Gansu Province, is a kind of special landform with an area of approximately 410 square kilometers as well as a history of nearly 2 million years. So undulating and continuous were the mountains that it made me felt as if it was extending endlessly into the distance. Also, the mountains looked like being diffused with red faraway, but the diverse color could be distinguished clearly as I drew near, via which I felt its uniqueness and magnificence. Some cliffs were like swords and axes, pointing straight to the blue sky, while some had gentle undulations. And with the changes of time and weather, the color of the mountains varied constantly. Standing in front of Danxia, I was completely amazed by the spectacular scenery. In my point of view, it is important for us to shoulder the responsibility of protecting not only this beautiful landscape but also the whole environment of our motherland, thus we can enjoy gorgeous scenery like Zhangye Danxia permanently.

嘉峪关
Jiayuguan is the starting point of the Ming Dynasty Great Wall at the west end, and it is the most magnificent and well preserved ancient military castle built along the Great Wall. It was built during the Ming Dynasty and its later dynasties, and the important military fortresses along the Great Wall are known as the "Great Defense of China and Foreign Countries" and the "First Pass in the World".
Today, after the repair of Jiayuguan, we can still see the vigorous and dangerous momentum of the frontier. When we climb the building, we can see that the Great Wall is like a dragon floating in the vast sand sea.
Standing in front of Jiayuguan, I’m amazed for its long history and proud of being a Chinese. No.9 High School of Qingdao has a history of 123 years. Students of the school are bound to closely connect their development with the reviving of the school as well as the nation. So the sense of pride will pass on and grow stronger.
